Mirko Cro Cop Filopivic will be headlining Dream 6 against Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistar Overeem. Sergei Kharitonov will make his return against Siala Siligia. The middleweight Grand Prix will continue with Gegard Mousasi taking on Melvin Manhoef and Ronaldo Jacare Souza taking on Zelg Galesic.
Dream 6 will be held September 23 at the legendary Saitama Super Arena.

The UFC conference call made Randy Couture’s return to the octagon official. Couture will face Brock Lesnar at UFC 91, but it won’t be in Portland. The event will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The winner of that fight will face the winner of the Frank Mir/Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira fight in December. Couture’s new contract will replace his old one, and will keep him in the UFC for 3 more fights.
Dana White stated that all of the problems with Randy’s contract dispute have been resolved and that Randy will be a UFC contracted fighter again. White further stated that the UFC will do everything possible to bring Fedor in for a showdown with Couture.

Yahoo! is reporting that Randy Couture and the UFC will hold a conference call today regarding the details of Couture’s return to the UFC. MMA insiders expect Couture to announce that he will be fighting Brock Lesnar at UFC 91 in his hometown of Portland, and that the UFC will co-promote a bout with M-1 Global featuring Couture and Fedor Emelianenko. The call should take place around 3:00 today. We’ll update you when we hear something.
