Josh Barnett Signs Contract With UFC
The Baby Faced Assassin Josh Barnett will return to the UFC to attempt to recapture the heavyweight title he last held over a decade ago. Barnett has faced problems in the past with steroid use, which ended his last UFC title reign and also greatly accelerated the demise of the short-lived Affliction MMA promotion. He hopes to return to action later this year.

Bryan Caraway Denies Elbowing Incident
UFC bantamweight Bryan Caraway posted a denial on his Facebook page regarding the alleged elbowing incident that occurred at the TUF Finale weigh-ins. Cat Zingano and her team accused Caraway of intentionally walk-by elbowing Zingano in the head while waiting backstage as a means of intimidating her prior to her fight with Caraway's girlfriend, Miesha Tate. Caraway had this to say in his defense:
This is a joke and a feeble attempt to jump on the bandwagon and get a little publicity. It's sad that someone would stoop so low. I know if someone elbowed Miesha I would say something about it right then not when conveniently there's a ton of media involved. Total lies and BS.

Nate Diaz Fined And Suspended For Twitter Comment
UFC lightweight/welterweight Nate Diaz stepped into the discussion surrounding Pat Healy's failed drug test by attacking Bryan Caraway, the recipient of Healy's confiscated submission of the night bonus money. Diaz tweeted:
I feel bad for pat Healy that they took a innocent mans money. And I think the guy who took the money is the biggest Fag in the world. #sorryasslittlebitch
For his part, Caraway is not helping matters by telling MMAJunkie:
"All I've got to say is that's some expensive weed. I like Healy a lot. I came up through the fighting ranks with him. We used to train together at Team Quest. I love the guy. But I have absolutely zero remorse or guilt. I hate weed. I cannot stand it. I've never tried it. I've never smoked a drug in my life. So I have absolutely zero tolerance for people that do it. I don't care if it's legal in some places or not. I think it's absolutely ridiculous. Whether it's legal in real life or not, they tell you to follow the rules. You need to follow the rules."

UFC Fighter Pay Analized
The Bleacher Report has an interesting piece posted today that delves into the issue of UFC fighter pay. While Dana and the Fertitas have long claimed that they were willing to openly discuss the fighter contract structure, Bleacher Report seems to be the first organization to actually take them up on the offer. Give it a read if you have some time and curiosity.
